Find the accurate size for your window blinds

Find the accurate size for your window blinds

Not only architecture, but interior designing is also about the measurements. There is nothing in this field without measuring something. Everything requires standard dimensions so as to have nearly accurate cuts and fits to your interior accessories. Here are the few steps and types for how you can measure your windows with no obstacles. There are two ways to measure a window i.e. :

a) With a break :For measuring your windows with a break you should consider to use a metal tape for near accuracy.

i) Measure the width of the window giving three breaks. You can start measuring from either of the ends till the middle and then from middle to the other end. But for ROLLER and ROMAN BLINDS, you must deduct 1cm from the total for the smooth operation. Ii)

ii) Measure the length of the window from the top to middle and then to the bottom, again in three steps and note the lowest measurement. But for vertical blinds, you must deduct 1cm from the total measurement.

b) Without a break :For measuring your windows without a break, you should consider to use a metal tape for near accuracy.

i) Measure the width of the window in one go. After measuring it, add 10cm to the total measurement to allow an overlap of 5cm on both sides for completely protection from the external weather condition to affect the internal space.

ii) Measure the length of the window on which the blind is to be applied, in one go, from top to bottom of the window or till the height you want the blind to fall.
It would only take a blink of an eye to follow these steps and choose the perfect size for your window blinds which would not only decorate your space but would decorate your lives with poise and elegance.
